Christ-Centered Recovery, Reentry & Rescue!
The Goal of the Black Wall Street USA Inmate Reentry & Recovery / Outreach Reentry Ministry, Inc. Substance Abuse Counseling focuses on offering outpatient counseling to assist individuals with alcohol & drug addictions.
We have partnered with the Salvation Army to offer these classes to the Homeless population in the Shoals area. During these group therapy counseling sessions participants focus on recognizing their triggers and learning coping mechanisms.
Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12-step programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) on which these sessions will be conducted on
Mondays from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the Salvation Army Training Facilities located at 1601 Huntsville Road Florence, Alabama.
In addition to the 12-step programs the substance abuse counseling also involves arranging sustainable plans for recovery including ongoing support with career counseling, money management and effective communication.
Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.
Substance Abuse Counseling and Group Therapy is an effective option for many as it reduces isolation and lets clients witness the recovery of others.
We have found that after joining a positive and supportive group many of their choices on what they experience in groups and from people around them can help them progress toward living a drug free and more fulfilling life.
Benefits: Affordability, maintain employment, incorporating the family and letting clients get family support through the progress of recovery:
Inpatient Rehab Treatment normally cost around $20,000 for 30 day treatment
Outpatient Rehab Treatment normally cost around $5,000 for 30 day treatment
Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance free but to thrive!
Developmental Substance Abuse Counseling are on Mondays 6:00pm -8:00pm at the Salvation Army Training Facilities located at 1601 Huntsville Rd Florence, Alabama
Developmental Stabilization / Educational Programs:
The Goal & Vision of the Stabilization / Educational Programs was designed to assist the Salvation Army’s homeless population with aftercare and the educational tools necessary to succeed in life. In the process of extending our vision we have now partnered with Northwest Shoals Community College to offer their GED / Ready-To-Work classes starting August 17th 2020
We continue to disciple our clients forward with establishing consistent personal habits, healthy relationships, spiritual growth and church commitment.
One very important sign of Stabilization is when an ex-offender, deprived or homeless person becomes involved in serving others in the community instead of expecting to be served.
We offer daily encouragement and assistance until the initial crisis-level needs are resolved. Then we are willing to continue weekly contact at the Salvation Army located at 1601 Huntsville, Road Florence, AL.
Please note that our GOAL is to take the Redemption Project nationwide!!!
Classes consist of the following:

It is the opinion of the Staff & Volunteers at Black Wall Street USA Inmate Reentry & Recovery & Outreach Reentry Ministry, Inc. that to be successfully in our Stabilization Reentry Aftercare process with Substance Abusers, Ex-Offenders or the Homeless population this involves addressing the needs in all areas of his/her life: social, emotional, environmental and physical. It is possible for a person to be stable in one area of life, but barely surviving in another.

Preparation
Beginning 6 to 12 months prior to release, volunteers focus on equipping the
prisoners with skills, education, and resources needed to make a successful
transition to the outside world.
Transition
When the ex-prisoner leaves the prison gates, reentry volunteers make sure he
or she has safe housing, food, clothing, and many other key supports. During
the early days of release, most ex-prisoners need daily encouragement and
assistance until the initial crisis-levels needed are resolved. Then they need
continued weekly contact, spiritual guidance, and emotional support for 6 to 24
months as they find employment, begin to rebuild relationships, and adapt to their
new life outside of prison.
Stabilization
Volunteers continue to disciple and assist the ex-prisoner forward establishing
consistent personal habits, healthy relationships, spiritual growth, and church
commitment. One very important sign of stabilization is when the ex-prisoner
become involved in serving others in the community instead of expecting to be
served. This phase is an ongoing aftercare process.
